Baby Wearing

My first project on my new sewing machine was to make a pouch-style baby sling. This is hopefully the first of many. I'm hoping to create and sell a full line of trendy, reversible slings for the baby-toting fashionista mom. Baby slings are so versatile, and can be used from infancy to toddlerhood. Its a hands-free way to keep your baby close, and promotes bonding. There are several ways to position baby, and you can even nurse your baby in the sling. I am a huge fan of baby slings, and am already putting this one to good use!

Naomi-- Your sling looks fantastic! I love the one that I have (it's basically a long peice of fabric that looks through two rings), but I have to say that sometimes it is hard to adjust, and sometimes it doesn't seem all that secure. It looks like the one you are wearing doesn't need adjusting and looks really safe! What a great design, and what a great fabric choice. Sell a bunch!

Thanks for all the encouragement everyone! Ariel, I love this design. It is custom measured and fit to the wearer, so it does not need to be adjusted. It feels very secure and I have been extremely pleased with it so far!

Ok, I am serious about selling them, so if any of you are serious about wanting one, let me know. We can discuss fabric options, and schedule a measuring (these are custom fit!). I'm starting out selling them for $20. Contact me for details: nae_norky@hotmail.com

What a great idea! Good for you, Naomi!
I had an "Over the Shoulder Baby Holder" sling (was the top of the line or something 8 years ago when I had Abby) but I never did seem to get the hang of it. I have, however, been wanting to try some sort of different sling or wrap for this baby. I'd like to see yours in person & see how it fits. The one in the picture looks adorable! I think it would be fun, after I have the baby & know the gender, to get one that's gender specific (either brown & pink or brown & blue.)
