Bumpadoo

Our dear Bumper died on Tuesday morning. He was Jared's family dog for almost 18 years, and was very loved. Jan picked him out when he was a puppy. There were several other puppies to choose from, but when she held Bumper, he started playing with the button on her coat, and she was smitten. He was such a good dog, and we all miss him so much. When Jared and I got married, he became our family dog, and has lived with us for the past 3 1/2 years. He slept in bed with us until last year, when it was just too hard for him to get on the bed anymore.

He loved playing with our two cats, and they often all snuggled up together to nap.

He was part of the family. He just fits right in.

We buried him on Tuesday afternoon next to our precious Snickers (our kitty who died 2 years ago.)

Oh so very sorry. I've heard lots about Bumper from being in Mike and Cassie's cell group years ago. So glad you have those neat memories and photos of Bumper being with the fam.

Sorry to hear about Bumper. Nate has talked about him a few times. My condolences to everyone there. It is hard to lose a pet that is more like a family member because they have been around for so long.

I'm so sorry, sweetie... Thank you for sharing your love and memories of Bumper with us. The dogs we love, and who love us, are such beautiful reminders of the good He's given us down here. It is so hard to say goodbye.

And, good doctrine or not, I'm a believer that we see them again. I wouldn't put it past God to use furry agents who foreshadow true joy as a part of Joy's completion.
